Project Description

We are seeking a versatile Senior SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant to drive end-to-end and transversal business processes across financial and controlling modules within a complex global SAP environment.

The role goes beyond traditional financial accounting, combining deep SAP FI and CO expertise with Costing, Material Ledger, monthly closing processes, SAP Banking integration, EDI integrations, and ETL data flows.

The consultant will work closely with international stakeholders and technical and functional teams, requiring strong hands-on SAP functional expertise as well as excellent English communication and listening skills to operate effectively across diverse global teams.

Main Tasks

- Oversee and execute end-to-end and transversal SAP processes across FI and CO.

- Manage and support monthly financial closing activities.

- Ensure accurate account document management across financial processes.

- Perform in-depth cost analysis using SAP CO.

- Manage Material Ledger processes related to costing.

- Support financial integrations between SAP and Banking processes and corporate banking structures.

- Design and support standard EDI integrations across the SAP landscape.

- Support ETL data extraction and data flow processes within SAP environments.

- Analyze dependencies and integration points across financial and controlling processes.

- Collaborate continuously with global technical, functional, and business stakeholders.

- Troubleshoot functional and integration-related issues across the SAP financial landscape.

- Communicate complex functional topics clearly across international and multicultural teams.

Required Skills

- Strong experience as an SAP Functional Consultant.

- Deep functional knowledge of SAP FI (Financial Accounting).

- Deep functional knowledge of SAP CO (Controlling).

- Strong understanding of end-to-end and transversal FI/CO business processes.

- Hands-on experience with SAP Banking integration and related financial operations.

- Deep understanding of SAP CO Costing processes.

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Material Ledger.

- Experience supporting complex monthly closing cycles.

- Experience with account document management and financial closing activities.

- Proven experience with standard EDI integrations in SAP environments.

- Strong understanding of ETL data extraction processes and data flows within SAP landscapes.

- Experience working in complex global SAP environments.

- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher (B2+).

- Strong verbal communication and listening skills for collaboration with international stakeholders and teams.

Desired Skills

- Knowledge of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and its integration points with FI/CO.

- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude for productivity, analysis, and process optimization.

- Previous experience managing complex integrations with non-SAP financial and banking systems.

- Knowledge of advanced SAP S/4HANA analytical capabilities.
