Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA professional focused on manual testing, with solid experience in testing SaaS and web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA processes, test design, and defect management, working closely with developers and product owners in an agile environment to ensure product quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
Design, document, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
Validate APIs and microservices using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Collaborate with developers to identify root causes and verify bug fixes.
Participate in sprint planning and ensure QA coverage for new features.
Maintain test documentation using tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Jira.
Ensure testing best practices are followed throughout the SDLC.
Provide clear reporting of defects, risks, and test progress to the team.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required
3-5 years of experience in manual testing of web or SaaS applications.
Good understanding of API testing, JSON/XML validation, and HTTP basics.
Good knowledge of Cloud platforms (ex: AWS, Azure, GCP), Networking,
HTTP/HTTPS
Experience working with issue tracking and test case management tools (e.g.,
Jira, TestRail).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic understanding of automation tools or scripting (nice to have, not required).
Knowledge of SQL for basic data validation and testing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly
communicate and articulate to stakeholders and management
Ability to develop a testing strategy that is customized and optimized for the
situation at hand and communicate it effectively to stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Nice to have
Exposure to automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
Experience testing systems deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
