SENIOR DevOps ENGINEER (with Java)
Job Description:
What we are looking for A DevOps Engineer with 6+ years of experience building and operating high-scale, high-availability systems. Youll join a team responsible for the development of a ride ordering automation product used in non medical emergency transportation for the US market. Core experience Solid background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in operations / DevOps Strong practical experience working with AWS cloud services Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating production systems on AWS AWS & Cloud Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as: Compute & orchestration: EC2, ECS, Lambda Storage & databases: S3, DynamoDB, RDS Messaging & streaming: SQS, SNS, Kinesis Networking & edge services (Load Balancers, CDN, DNS) Experience building and operating highly available, scalable systems in the cloud Familiarity with event-driven and distributed architectures Programming & Engineering Strong proficiency in Java (core language), with a backend engineering mindset Comfortable reading, debugging, and improving production code Exposure to JavaScript / Node.js and modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React) is a plus, especially in web or e-commerce contexts Infrastructure & Automation Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines Experience building reusable infrastructure modules and automation tooling Collaboration & mindset Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) Collaborative, proactive, and hands-on approach to problem solving Comfortable working closely with product, backend, and frontend teams How youll drive success Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, build, and operate reliable cloud systems Own and improve deployment pipelines, automation, and operational tooling Build and maintain reusable infrastructure and cloud automation modules Manage and optimize the network edge layer (CDN, DNS, load balancers) Monitor production systems and lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
