Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer, with some experience using Playwright. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on ensuring product quality through strong manual testing practices while contributing to test automation initiatives.

This role is primarily manual testing (80%), with 20% focused on automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end manual testing, identify defects, and report findings clearly and accurately.

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to define test strategies and ensure coverage of business requirements.

  • Participate in sprint planning, provide QA estimates, and ensure test cases align with acceptance criteria.

  • Contribute to automated testing using Playwright and support integration into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

  • Help triage and reproduce reported issues, providing clear documentation of bugs and test results.

  • Promote and apply QA best practices within Agile development teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in Manual QA.

  • At least 2+ year of hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.

  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, software testing principles, and defect management.

  • Ability to write and maintain test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages.

  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g. ClickUp, Jira) and version control systems such as GitLab.

  • Familiarity with CI environments, particularly GitLab CI, and integrating automated tests into pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to API testing, performance testing, or security validation.

  • Experience with test management tools and cloud-based device testing services.

  • Knowledge of AWS.

  • Experience tracking tasks in ClickUp.

  • iOS and Android mobile automation experience is a strong plus.
