Associate Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) 

📍 Work model: HYBRID — 3 days per week in the office (São Paulo, Brazil). Not remote.
🗣️ Advanced English is required.
✈️ Travel availability required (Brazil, Latam, and possibly the US).

About the role

This position bridges product engineering and customer environments. FDEs serve as embedded advisors, helping clients achieve an "Agentic Enterprise" vision through rapid technical implementations.

Key responsibilities

Technical delivery

  • Execute end-to-end platform deployments (API, Identity, Developer, and Agent platforms).
  • Architect integration solutions connecting enterprise systems, third-party APIs, and AI services.
  • Demonstrate expertise in "Vibe Coding" (AI for Code) and AI-leveraging applications.
  • Build custom integrations and automation pipelines.
  • Lead platform migrations and modernization initiatives.

Customer engagement

  • Embed within customer teams to implement solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architectures.
  • Conduct workshops, design sprints, and technical training.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within customer environments.

Internal collaboration

  • Connect Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams.
  • Develop reusable accelerators and reference architectures.
  • Feed customer feedback back to the product teams.

Requirements

  • Advanced English (required).
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on API, integration, and identity platform expertise.
  • Backend language proficiency (Java, Python, Go, or Ballerina).
  • Kubernetes / cloud-native deployment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • IAM, CIAM, and application/API security knowledge.
  • Understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.
  • CI/CD pipeline and systems architecture expertise.
  • Ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
  • Native Portuguese.
  • Travel availability (Brazil, Latam, and possibly the US).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with integration/identity platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Okta).
  • LLM / AI integration experience.
  • Enterprise architecture background.
  • Global customer-facing technical delivery experience.

Selection process

  • Approximately 4-5 interviews. No case presentation.
