QA Automation Engineer (Playright)
We seek a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer with extensive
experience working within a fast paced environment. Youll work with an international team as a senior level QA Engineer performing manual and automated testing on the Company platform.
The position requires a creative problem solver that can think at a high level and is continuously involved with our development and product team. Engineer will run and create well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure product quality.
Required Quality Assurance & Technical Skills:
In depth understanding of application functions, bug fixing, and
testing protocols
Strong attention to detail and committed to a high level of accuracy & quality
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with QA best practices for manual, automation, and load
testing
Self-starter with the ability to take direction then focus on given
priorities with minimal supervision
Successful applicants will be familiar with websites, apps, and
console platforms, third party billing integrations/platforms. Travel
Industry experience preferred
5 or more years of experience creating, reviewing, and executing
testing plans and manual test scripts
Preferred - Playwright experience 3+ years of experience
using automated testing (unit, regression, and / or stress /
performance)
2+ years of experience in manual QA testing (desktop and mobile
responsive)
2+ years of experience with API requests/responses and errors
(Postman Preferred)
Good understanding of JSON and XML data formats
Ability to review logfiles, API requests, and database details for
customer travel transactions to aid development in bug resolution
The successful candidate will need to:
Assist in managing test case repository in Qase
Works in synergy with the Product team and developers when
clarifying requirements during QA validations.
Follows existing QA processes, candidate will validate user
story/requirement tickets and log bug tickets into Jira
Candidate will monitor new Ready for QA items and validate
on a daily basis
Attend ALL team and scrum meetings and provide updates on
your work
Review of browser developer tools to review endpoints and
responses
Research log files to assess the issues
Inspect code in main repository to identify the trigger of the
reported issue.
Inspect database files and records as needed for issue
review. SQL experience is preferred.
Knowledge of Jira/Confluence is preferred
Candidate must be flexible when redirected to work on tasks
outside their normal role, based on company priorities/needs
as a small startup.
Candidate will take initiative while working a task that is not
clear to develop a solution.
Required to document testing results, supplier or internal API
technical details, or other QA critical process documentation
to aid all company teams
Follow all QA and Company Policies
Track, analyze, and keep management abreast of your progress
Responsibilities:
Successfully execute manual & automatic test cases to validate the
functionality of our backend and frontend systems
Continual development of new automated test cases & plans to
expand our automation test suite, sharing with our cross-functional
teams for collaboration.
Conduct performance testing to ensure the application and backend
services handle the load efficiently.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and multiple deliverables -
coordinating with your manager and all internal teams to ensure
successful delivery of your assigned tasks
Collaborates with development and business to implement data-driven
test strategies based on engineering and product goals.
Provide detailed supporting data and documentation to aid in
resolution of development issues.
Creation of technical documentation for QA testing aid of supplier APIs
or other product features.
Highly responsible individual who can work remotely with a direct
professional voice
