Senior PHP Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our international engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust backend logic. We are looking for a software engineer with strong architectural thinking, problem-solving skills, and the autonomy to drive technical improvements.

Key Information:

• Location: 100% Remote (Exclusive for candidates residing in Argentina).
• Type: Full-Time Contract.
• Language Requirement: English B2 level or higher (Mandatory – ability to participate in technical meetings and write documentation).

Core Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, code, and maintain scalable and secure backend services using modern PHP.
• API Design: Build, document, and consume optimized RESTful APIs for third-party and internal integrations.
• Performance & Quality: Write clean, modular, and testable code (Unit Testing), ensuring efficient query performance and application speed.
• Technical Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and agile ceremonies alongside cross-functional, global teams.

Required Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in backend software development using PHP (versions 7.x / 8.x).
• Core Frameworks: Expert-level mastery of at least one modern PHP framework (primarily Laravel or Symfony).
• Database Management: Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Best Practices: Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, Git version control, and containerization environments (Docker).
