Location: Mexico City, Mexico | Remote
Compensation: 70/30 structure

About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Solutions Engineer to join a high-impact pre-sales / sales engineering team supporting enterprise customers across Mexico. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on understanding business and technical needs, designing tailored solutions, delivering demos and proof of concepts, and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customers, sales, R&D, and customer success teams, helping prospects understand the value of the platform and guiding them toward the right technical solution. This person should be comfortable leading technical conversations, running workshops, supporting complex sales motions, and building strong long-term relationships with customers.
This role is remote within Mexico, but the selected candidate must be based in Mexico City and have strong availability to travel by air when required.
Key Responsibilities

Lead pre-sales technical engagements with prospects and customers.

Understand customer business goals and technical requirements, and translate them into tailored solution designs.

Design and deliver customized product demonstrations and proof of concepts.

Present technical solutions in a clear way, connecting business value with product capabilities.

Conduct discovery calls, architecture sessions, and technical workshops with different stakeholders.

Support RFPs and evaluate technical feasibility for proposed solutions.

Partner closely with sales, customer success, support, and R&D teams throughout the customer lifecycle.

Help drive post-sales expansion opportunities and contribute to account planning.

Act as a trusted technical advisor and help customers adopt the best solution approach.

Coordinate technical escalations and help ensure a strong customer experience.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and development.

Contribute to webinars, workshops, technical content, and thought leadership initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Native Spanish and fluent English.

At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as:

Strong experience presenting technical solutions to external stakeholders.

Ability to lead technical discussions with both business and engineering audiences.

Strong communication skills and consultative approach.

Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, support, and customer success teams.

Based in Mexico City.

High availability to travel domestically and internationally by air.
Preferred Background

Experience in enterprise software or platform-based environments.

Exposure to areas such as API management, integration, identity and access management, or developer platforms.

Experience contributing to technical content such as blogs, webinars, workshops, or conference talks.

Previous experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives.
