Principal Backend Engineer (C# / Azure)

Availability: Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, El Salvador

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Backend Engineer who will lead the development of core backend components, enhance system architecture, and ensure scalability and performance across platforms. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and architects in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET.

  • Collaborate on the design and evolution of complex Windows desktop applications integrated with the cloud.

  • Enhance and standardize CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and technical documentation.

  • Optimize and maintain Kubernetes clusters and Azure cloud infrastructure.

  • Define scalable, maintainable solutions in collaboration with architects and senior engineers.

  • Evaluate and implement cloud architecture strategies (Azure vs. AWS).

  • Promote best practices in code quality, performance, and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with C#, .NET, Azure, Kubernetes, and Windows desktop applications.

  • Strong background in software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles: design patterns, clean code, testing, and version control.

  • Experience working in containerized and cloud-native environments.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • Proactive and confident mindset, capable of driving technical decisions.
