Data Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote from Argentina, Uruguay, or Mexico

Were looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our Data Platform team. The team is responsible for building and maintaining a unified, secure, and scalable data platform that supports business intelligence, financial reporting, and data science across the organization.

As part of this team, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing our cloud-based data infrastructure, ensuring its performance, reliability, and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Data Infrastructure Automation: Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions to automate the build, deployment, and scaling of the cloud data platform. Standardize processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.

  • Operational Support: Provide technical support for platform users, including troubleshooting, configuration, and version management. Automate and streamline manual operational processes.

  • Security & Compliance: Strengthen the security posture of the data platform by performing infrastructure security reviews, implementing risk remediation, and automating compliance tasks.

  • Cost Management & Optimization: Monitor platform health, reliability, cost, and usage. Promote best practices, implement guardrails, and identify cost-saving opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).

  • 5+ years of experience managing and automating cloud-based big data platforms (AWS, Airflow, Databricks, Spark, etc.).

  • 5 years of experience in infrastructure security review, risk remediation, and compliance.

  • 8 years of programming experience in Python, Java, or C#.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience collaborating effectively with engineers and stakeholders across teams.
